AG Language Services

Welcome to Language Services' brand new translation portal!

It's the new go-to place for all of your translation requests. We trust you'll find it easier and more convenient than our general mailbox. Want to request and check the status of a translation?  It's all happening in this collaboration hub. Once your translation is ready, you can simply download it from your overview page.

The main benefits? You get a clear overview of all of your translations, and your translation requests are instantly available in our system - no need for manual processing by our mailbox manager. This way, our translators can get to work on your translations even faster!

General mailbox still active

In addition to our new portal, you can still contact us via our general e-mail address languageservices@aginsurance.be. It's the handiest way to:

  • request source text spelling and grammar checks
  • send us your editorial changes and copywriting assignments
  • ask for our input on tricky wording
  • announce upcoming translation assignments and agree on deadlines

How does the portal work?

Using a simple input form, you select the appropriate template and upload your document or copy-paste your text to the text box. You then name your project and specify your preferred deadline. While we do our best to meet the requested deadline, we can't guarantee that will deliver by the promised date each and every time. Our turnaround time depends on many factors, including our workload at the time. Tip: assume an average rate of roughly 750 words per day.

Once you've sent us your translation request, you’ll see it in your project overview. As soon as the translation is ready, we'll send you an e-mail alert to let you know. You can then easily download it from the portal.

How is this different from the MT platform (crosslangmt.com)?

Translations requested via the Machine Translation (MT) platform are translated by DeepL. The output you get is pure untrained machine translation. While it can be helpful for quick, informal translations, it often produces inaccurate and awkward results, especially when it comes to unique AG lexical terms, product names, job titles, cultural context and nuances, etc.

With our new translation portal, we can take your jargon-laden, editorially demanding or partially translated text and create content that accurately reflects your voice and intentions. And we can do it better and faster.

Try it and see for yourself!
